A Serene Flower

I decided to try yet another sketch from the Verve Holiday Release Sketch Blitz.  This time it is #4!

I turned it upside down and came up with this:

This beautiful flower is from the Bees Sheet from Starving Artistamps.  I embossed it with gold on watercolor paper and watercolored it with Distress Ink Re-Inkers.

The dp is some Anna Griffin paper that I have been hoarding for a long time (it has made two house moves). I figured it was time to cut into it!!

Some Verve Sketch Fun

To celebrate some up coming releases Verve Stamps is having a Sketch Blitz on their Member Forum at SplitCoastStampers.

Today I decided to tackle sketch #3.

I used my Verve set: Serenity. This is such a handy set to have on hand.  It is appropriate for so many occasions.  For any time a loved one is in need of encouragement.  Either male or female.

The dp is from KI Memories and Making Memories; the cardstock is mostly SU! but the lighter blue is from Bazzill.

The ink was Frayed Burlap Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

It is time for a new Rubbernecker Stamps Blogger's Challenge. This challenge (RBC #8) is hosted by Bev Gerard (Tex)! She has challenged us to use unusual folds with our cards.

I am not sure I made the grade--so to speak--but I did step out of my usual folding box. The front flap does not come all the way across the page (just two and a half inches for those of you who like to measure). And the last "Ho" is a flap that holds it all together.

The image was colored with Copics, and highlighted with Stickles. The circles and the large scallop circles were cute with Spellbinders Nestabilities. (Check the Rubbernecker Stamp Company home page for some exciting news about them).
