Heavenly Angel

Merry Christmas!!!!

I hope your day is filled with JOY!!!

Since today is Friday, it is also an A Day for Daisies, day!

The image, Star Angel, inspired a vintage vibe this week:
She is colored with Copic markers.
The base of the card is stamped part way with a background stamp.  The patterned paper is from 7Gypsies.  I added the little word "heavenly" which is a retired stamp from my stash.

The image is accented with Perfect Pearls and Stickles.

Cherish the Light

Happy Friday!!
For me, this is the last Friday before Christmas, as the bulk of my Christmas is happening before Christmas this year.  I think I will enjoy the change, eventually, but I am not good at tradition changes.

I did find relaxation and enjoyment coloring this sweet image from A Day for Daisies!  It is called Sparkle Angel and it is a part of the December's showcase: Angels Sweet!
The image is colored with Copic and ShinHan markers.  The stars and halos have Stickles and a touch of Perfect Pearls (mixed with water and applied with a paintbrush).

The sentiment is from Rubbernecker.

Native Doll

I hope my friends in the United States had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I have another card from the Native Dreams collection at A Day for Daisies.
She is called "Baby Doll Dreams":

She is colored with Copic markers.

I pierced the edge using plastic canvas to space the holes. Then I used embroidery floss to (2/6 strands) to make a cross stitch patten on the edge of the image layer.

To age the piece (and bring birch bark to mind) I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Pumice Stone and Antique Linen).

Fun with Liquid Chalk!

I was approached by "Chalkola Arts" to receive a set of chalk markers in exchange for my my honest review.

We, my daughters and I, were super geeked when they arrived. They are such BRIGHT and wonderful colors!

I teach elementary Sunday School at our church and I thought this would be the perfect way to test them out!

Our chalk boards at church are BROWN, drab and dull.
We were talking about the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, and I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to use these markers!

I loved how the color went up!!

My teen daughter and I tried different fonts and different colors.

Not only did they the markers go up wonderfully, but they came off wonderfully, too.  We took a shot of the paper towel because it was so pretty!! LOL!

Just a wet paper towel took it all off, BUT once dry the "ink" never smeared.
This is such a plus since more that one group use our room (But only our class use the chalkboard).  So I didn't have to worry about anyone smearing our memory verses!

I will be using these markers often in the future!  I have picked up some little chalkboard clips from the dollar spot at Michaels to use with these, too.  Great for gift tags!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope this review was a help to you.

Dance With Joy!

Happy FRIDAY!!
For me this is a super busy day!!  Filled with "to do" lists and multiple cups of coffee!!

Which is one of the reasons I love this image from A Day for Daisies!
She is "Flying Fairy Happy" and she reminds me to take time to enjoy!  Dance a little, sing a little and be happy!! (by the way, I believe she is on sale, for just this week!!)
She is a part of the November club kit (more info HERE).
She is colored with Copic markers and accented with Liquid Pearls and Stickles!

Her dress reminded my of my grandma's jonquils, so that is how I colored her.

As usual there a many beautiful and creative projects on the blogs of my design team members:

Little Mermaid Witch

Happy Friday!!!

It is time for a new challenge on the A Day for Daisies Blog!  We are adding black lace!!
I got to use an image from the latest release: Little Mermaid Witch!!  She is so sweet, I am not really sure if she is a witch ;)

She is colored with Copic markers.  As is the background.
I masked her off (would have been SO MUCH EASIER if I had done the background first!!) and sprayed the background with rubbing alcohol (you could use colorless blender refill, but I am cheap frugal).

Then I spritzed the background (mask still in place) with a solution of Perfect Pearls (pearl) and water, intentionally getting drips on the background.  The background has a misty sparkle to it.
There are more beautiful black lace creations on the blogs of my fellow teammates!

Mucha Love!

In our second week of featuring the beautiful Mucha Style Florals at A Day for Daisies, we have a new challenge!!

For this challenge I have used Mucha Style Little Sweet Pea:
This image was colored with Copic markers a few times. I cut out parts of the blossoms and built them up with foam tape.  The image is actually on the inside of the card.  The front of the card is a window.

For the challenge we are using this inspiration board:
