Clean and Simple Saturday

It is a small miracle that I got to stamp on a Saturday!  So I decided to get a few "Clean and Simple" cards made.
Here they are:

These two cards use the Rubbernecker stamp: Flourish 30-15;
I colored the stamp with markers, misted the stamp with water, then stamped it on the watercolor paper, then the plain white cardstock. One inking--two stamped images.

 Both Sentiments come from the Friends section of the 2011 Rubbernecker Releases on the Rubbernecker Stamp Company site.

 This card also used the "Flourish 30-35 stamp and the Friendship sentiments from Rubbernecker.
The tag is from a package from the "Fun Finds" area at Michaels.

 This last card uses the stamp: Floral Ornament SKU:552, from Rubbernecker.
I stamped it in white--I really like how white ink looks on Kraft paper.
On all four cards, I used ColorBox's Fluid Chalk ink in Chestnut Roan.  This is one of my favorite inks.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, today!

Dream

I have a Rubbernecker card for you today:

Ingredients:
  • Stamps: All Stamps from Rubbernecker Stamp Company; Sentiment: Garden Tree Set (SKU: 559) and Love Set (SKU: 545)
  • Ink: Color Box Chalk Ink-Dark Brown; Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Spun Sugar and Bundled Sage; Stampin' Up!-Barely Banana;
  • Paper: Cardstock from Bazzill Prismatics;
  • Accessories: Martha Stewart 3-In-1 Hydrangea punch; Stickles and Liquid Pearls, foam tape, dies from Spellbinders;

Extra techniques:
  • I dabbed a bit of coordinating ink in the center of each hydrangea punch to add dimension before adding a drop of Liquid Pearls.
  • Also, I stamped the hear on some leftover release paper (the backing on foam squares, stickers or even EZ Mount), cut out the heart, wiped off any left over ink to create a mask.  I place the mask on the image stamped on the light yellow cardstock and sponged light yellow ink around the edge.
Thanks for stopping by!
Come back soon!

May Flowers

One of my favorite jokes when I was in grade school was:

Q: If April Showers bring May flowers, what do may flowers bring?

A: Pilgrims

(get it?????  May Flowers--Mayflower--boat--Plymouth Rock???)Smiley from millan.net

Anyway….

I have May Flowers for you.  My good friend and I were on a road trip last weekend and we just HAD to stop at a stamp store along the way. (YKWIM???)  Well there was some paper that was just too cute and asked to come home with me.  What could I say??

I hope you like the paper, and the stamp set too for that matter—because  They work REALLY well together.  And since I have the organization skills of a 4 yr old, I am trying to enjoy it and use it up.

friends are flowers

weeds wildflowers

I think the second one is my mom’s birthday card.  The first one uses colored (Prismacolor) pencils and the second one uses watercolors (re-inkers).

Other Deets:

Stamps: Wild Flower Set and Abstract Floral Background  from Rubbernecker;

Paper: Prism: Simply Smooth Ivory; Iced Yellow; DP: Bo Bunny and My Mind’s Eye;

Ink: Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk Ink;

AND for MORE May Flowers (the floral kind—not the boat kind) Check out my buddy Judy at Joy in a JAR!!  Not only does she have some BEAUTIFUL flowers and ideas on her blog, but she is celebrating her blogaversary and has BLOG CANDY!!

AND come back here TOMORROW (Wednesday) for Wacky Wednesday!!!
