Native Doll

I hope my friends in the United States had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

I have another card from the Native Dreams collection at A Day for Daisies.
She is called "Baby Doll Dreams":

She is colored with Copic markers.

I pierced the edge using plastic canvas to space the holes. Then I used embroidery floss to (2/6 strands) to make a cross stitch patten on the edge of the image layer.

To age the piece (and bring birch bark to mind) I sponged the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Pumice Stone and Antique Linen).

There are more beautiful creations on the blogs of my teammates:

Watercolor Blessings Grow!

Happy Friday!
I am sure many of my friends in the United States are finalizing their Thanksgiving plans! Me?  Well, I haven't a CLUE what is happening this Thanksgiving.  First time in forever.  Our family has been so busy, that I think we just want to relax together!

Today my team members and I are showcasing  the "Native Hearts" collection from A Day for Daisies.

I have Garden Dreams to show you:
The image was colored with Copic markers.  The background was stamped with a background stamp and then sprayed with color spray onto watercolor paper.

There are some amazing projects on the blogs of my fellow design team members:

Fun with Liquid Chalk!

I was approached by "Chalkola Arts" to receive a set of chalk markers in exchange for my my honest review.

We, my daughters and I, were super geeked when they arrived. They are such BRIGHT and wonderful colors!

I teach elementary Sunday School at our church and I thought this would be the perfect way to test them out!

Our chalk boards at church are BROWN, drab and dull.
We were talking about the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6, and I thought that this was the perfect opportunity to use these markers!

I loved how the color went up!!

My teen daughter and I tried different fonts and different colors.

Not only did they the markers go up wonderfully, but they came off wonderfully, too.  We took a shot of the paper towel because it was so pretty!! LOL!

Just a wet paper towel took it all off, BUT once dry the "ink" never smeared.
This is such a plus since more that one group use our room (But only our class use the chalkboard).  So I didn't have to worry about anyone smearing our memory verses!

I will be using these markers often in the future!  I have picked up some little chalkboard clips from the dollar spot at Michaels to use with these, too.  Great for gift tags!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope this review was a help to you.

Dance With Joy!

Happy FRIDAY!!
For me this is a super busy day!!  Filled with "to do" lists and multiple cups of coffee!!

Which is one of the reasons I love this image from A Day for Daisies!
She is "Flying Fairy Happy" and she reminds me to take time to enjoy!  Dance a little, sing a little and be happy!! (by the way, I believe she is on sale, for just this week!!)
She is a part of the November club kit (more info HERE).
She is colored with Copic markers and accented with Liquid Pearls and Stickles!

Her dress reminded my of my grandma's jonquils, so that is how I colored her.

As usual there a many beautiful and creative projects on the blogs of my design team members:
