Vintage Veil

Did you miss me?
I have been MIA for a couple of weeks.  First there was Holy Week and Easter!  Many cRaZy times with church and family!

Then my youngest daughter was in a play, and guess who was the co-coordinator of 50 costumes?   That was a blast (I work with such great people at Ypsilanti Youth Theatre)!!

And now I am back... mostly.

Just in time for the second week of the new release from A Day for Daisies!!

I have used Vintage Bride's Veil:

This image is colored with Copic markers and accented with Stickles and Liquid pearls.

This is also the first week for the A Day for Daisies Blog challenge: Add Lace!
There are some amazing creations with lace on the blogs of my teammates:

I sure hope you can join us for the "Add Lace" challenge on the A Day for Daisies Blog!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, today!

Roses, Lace, and a Touch of Gold

The main image on this card was fun to play with.

Every now and then my daughter and I like to watch a wedding show on tv.  Our opinions often differ with the women on the television show, but it is fun to look at the pretty dresses.

This lovely image (Jennifer) from Rubbernecker Stamp Company, I decided, would look wonderful champagne colored... with lots of pearls and rhinestones.  To get the look of pearls and rhinestones, I used Liquid Pearls and Stickles.

The background was stamped with the background stamp: Damask Pannel #498 from Rubbernecker.  I inked the stamp withVersaMark, stamped the ivory cardstock and then applied Perfect Pearls (gold) with a cotton ball.  The excess was removed with a cleaning cloth for a Swiffer dry mop.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Here comes the bride...

Today's card is a simple and elegant card.

Stamps are by Rubbernecker Stamp Company

I stamped the main image ("bride with bouquet") with Memento Rich Cocoa onto Bristol paper and colored it with Copic and ShinHan markers.

The background stamp ("abstract roses") was stamped with VersaMark onto watercolor paper, then heat embossed with white embossing powder.
I lightly watercolored the roses with Tim Holtz's Antique Linen.

  • Paper: Kraft, light pink, watercolor paper, bristol paper
  • Ink: memento Rich Cocoa; Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Antique Linen;
