Weekend fun

This weekend (including Monday—snow day for the kids) I got a little stamping done.  This is a small miracle since weekends = interruptions around here.  I am just getting around to posting, though.

The first card was inspired by the Get Sketchy #26 sketch for this week.  I had to adjust the sentiment to fit.

Just for fun…

Just playing around with an image that my friend, Debi shared with me!
Joys of Motherhood
I think this image should be captioned, “the joys of motherhood are without number”!  At least, I have days like that.  This little darling just Cracks ME UP!  She is from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps: Charlotte.
The paper is Cosmo Cricket: Girl Friday.
I hope you have a great weekend!

Ready for Easter?

Lent has begun, so it is time for me to prepare for Easter!  This means EASTER CARDS!!

Easter Blessings

I was inspired to use Green and Purple by Sharon’s Stamp Simply Challenge (ssnotime126).  I don’t use purple much, so this was an interesting challenge—not necessarily difficult.  I did have to rethink things though.

Clean & Simple and a step up

Today I thought I would play with a “Fall To Layout” from Clean & Simple Stamping.  (FABULOUS blog, if you like or have even wanted to try the CAS style—they are your Go To blog).  This weeks sketch is FTL77.

Here is my card:

Hummingbird CAS

The design is matted, merely because that is the size of paper on my desk (too small for a full size A2 card).  Waste not—Want not!

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Flourish Set and Springtime Inchies from Rubbernecker;
  • Ink: Adirondack Shell Pink Dye and Pigment ink; SU! Taken w/Teal Craft ink; Tim Holtz Distress Ink for coloring;
  • Paper: SU! and Prism Cardstock; My Mind’s Eye dp;
  • Other Items: clear/sparkle embossing powder; blender pen;

Well, I couldn’t just leave well enough alone… so I tried another card with a few more details and embellishments.

Hummingbird FANCY

Same supplies as above but dark brown Cardstock and ribbon added.

I hope you have can picture spring, as I did while making these cards (as there is about 10” outside and kids are home for a snow day).

Thanks for stopping by!

You want me to WHAT?!?

I am finally finishing my Teapot Tuesday card!  The challenge can be seen on Splitcoast: MMTPT79

Here is my card:

you want me to

Caption reads: you want me to jump over WHAT!?

  • Stamps: Karen Foster Snap Stamps; Plaque Set and Clara from the DoodleFactory Country set both from Starving Artistamps;
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo black and Tim Holtz Distress Ink—Antique Linen;
  • Paper: Bazzill cardstock and DCWV Fairy Tale dp;
  • Other Items: embossing folder; circle dies (Spellbinders) and circle Coluzzle; foam tape; Perfect Pearls (misted on paper for the moon—prior to embossing and cutting into a circle)

Personally, I don’t think Clara is gonna jump over anything.  I don’t think she is one of those California Happy Cows!!!

SING! With Color!

Today is the Color Thowdown!  And this week the sponsor is Starving Artistamps!!!  WOO HOO!

Other exciting news is that my dear sweet friend, Debi, is this month’s Guest Designer for the CTD Team!!! More WOO HOO!!!!

Here is my card:

 CTD Sing sm

The colors are:

CTD78

I confess, I have never held soft sky in my hand, so I did a bit of guessing.  I think I went a little dark—sorry about that!!

This card uses the DoodleFactory Into the Woods Stamp set.  The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket and My Mind’s Eye.

These were fun colors to work with, and since snow keeps falling from the sky here, I wanted to go with a little taste of spring!

I hope you can play along this week!!!

Good things about today:

  1. It is Groundhog Day! (did you get your Groundhog day shopping done!?!)
  2. LOST is back on tonight!!!
