I Dig You

Hambo Stamps has the cutest little critter in the Digi Shop!  Miner Mole!

Normally, moles are not my favorite animal.  They have gone condo in our front yard and I have heard they have approved plans for a mall and a new freeway.  Construction begins as soon as the ground thaws (IF it ever thaws).

But this guy? THIS guy, I like:

He just DUG his way right into my heart!
AND I happen to know he has chocolate under his helmet!!

Inspiration for the layout of this card came from Retro Sketches #100:
Thanks, Arielle, for the WONDERFUL sketch!
Thank you, too, for stopping by my blog, today!

Coloring Medium: Copic Markers;

Stampin Sisterhood Sunday-SS5

Welcome to Stampin' Sisterhood Sunday!

For this week's challenge we have a sketch!! Check it out, along with some SISTERHOOD inspiration!! Hope you can play along!!

As always there are more details on the Stampin Sisterhood Blog, such as challenge details, prize details, and links to other creations!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take on it:

 Details:
The image (Toby SKU:594-01) was stamped with Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Frayed Burlap.  I colored the image with a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils.

The "love" (Love Set SKU:545) was stamped on a die cut heart (also with the Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Frayed Burlap).

The card parts are layered on Bo Bunny Beautiful as a Butterfly papers and Memory Box Pixie papers.  I sanded the edges for a distressed snowy effect.

The embellishments were Christmas gifts from my mom.

Though I didn't follow the sketch perfectly, I hope you see where the inspiration came from.

I look forward to seeing your creation!!
Don't forget to check back on the Stampin Sisterhood Blog!

An inspired valentine

Today’s card is a Valentine that was inspired by the Tuesday Trigger Challenge

Creamy Fudge Hearts from Martha Stewart

I love the colors and pattern of the paper (lid top?), the sweet little white fudge hearts, and the colors of the ribbon!

I used the scallops from the fluted cups, the pattern and colors of the paper (with the help of a Rubbernecker stamp), the hearts, and the ribbon colors as a jumping off point for my card.Trigger Valentine

The stamped image--under the die cut heart window is from Rubbernecker Stamp Company. I colored it with colored pencils.

Supplies:

  • Stamps: Floral Circle SKU:507-02 by Rubbernecker
  • Paper: various cardstocks and dp from My Mind's Eye (red/pink)
  • Ink: StazOn Jet Black
  • Accessories: heart and corner punches, spellbinders dies, colored pencils, home made glimmer mist (perfect pears + water), foam tape

Thanks Moxie Fab World for the fantastic inspiration!

Sock monkey?? and CPS Sponsor

When I first saw Malbec from DoodleFactory not only did I think it was just the CUTEST monkey, but I also thought it was a sock monkey.  I think I may have been alone in this opinion, because none of my design teammates NOR Irene, the genius behind the DoodleFactory images, seem to see him this way.

I would like to tell  you that this is the first time I have ever seen something differently than others, but ....

CPS102-Sock it to me

This card uses this week's CPS sketch!  AND Starving Artistamps is one of the sponsors this week!!!

CPS102

The Deets:

  • Accessories: Scalloped scissors, buttons, ribbon, brad, foam tape and edge punch
  • Coloring Medium: Prismacolor pencils; Copic and Prismacolor markers;

It is a great sketch!!! (THANKS TAMI!!)  I hope you can participate, too!!
