Shades of White

I love color.  I love to color.  Basically, I cannot leave anything white!  When I moved into this house, ALL the walls were white!  Once I got a few painted, I INSTANTLY felt better—and actually more at home.

But…

There was THIS challenge on the Moxie Fab World Blog.

Embroidered Lace and Appliqued Wedding Cake from Martha Stewart Living That is one WHITE cake!  I love how, though there isn’t any color, you don’t miss it because of the texture!

So I came up with this:

Forever and Always

The images are from the Juniper and Jupiter stamps from Starving Artistamps.  The image is colored with colored pencils—using as little color as I dared.  If you look closely one of the layers is stamped with the “ornate tooled leather” background stamp (also from Starving Artistamps).

Other materials I used to continue the “white on white” theme:

Martha Stewart Hydrangea punches; Spellbinders die; Liquid Pearls (white opal); Stickles (crystal); clear glitter embossing powder; Adirondack Pigment Ink Pad (snow cap); foam tape; Perfect Pearls (perfect pearl) and water in a misting bottle;

Aren’t they a sweet couple?

Thanks Cath for the great inspiration—and the push to get me out of my color dependency!
