Dream

I have a Rubbernecker card for you today:

Ingredients:
  • Stamps: All Stamps from Rubbernecker Stamp Company; Sentiment: Garden Tree Set (SKU: 559) and Love Set (SKU: 545)
  • Ink: Color Box Chalk Ink-Dark Brown; Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Spun Sugar and Bundled Sage; Stampin' Up!-Barely Banana;
  • Paper: Cardstock from Bazzill Prismatics;
  • Accessories: Martha Stewart 3-In-1 Hydrangea punch; Stickles and Liquid Pearls, foam tape, dies from Spellbinders;

Extra techniques:
  • I dabbed a bit of coordinating ink in the center of each hydrangea punch to add dimension before adding a drop of Liquid Pearls.
  • Also, I stamped the hear on some leftover release paper (the backing on foam squares, stickers or even EZ Mount), cut out the heart, wiped off any left over ink to create a mask.  I place the mask on the image stamped on the light yellow cardstock and sponged light yellow ink around the edge.
Thanks for stopping by!
Come back soon!

Baby is Brewing

You know you are old when...the baby girl which you used to baby sit, that you used straighten the "RUMPLES" out of her bed, that was a flower girl at your wedding...
 IS HAVING A BABY!!!

What is a girl to do...but design the baby shower invitations!
Her sister (who I also babysat since birth and was in my wedding) came up with the idea of a "tea" for the shower...so I came up with this:

Ingredients:
  • Stamps: from Papertrey Ink: Tea for Two Additions and Favor It Baby;
  • Paper: Patterned paper: Memory Box Brioche;  Embossed Cardstock: Bazzill;
  • Ink: Tim Holtz distress Ink-Shabby Shutters and Black Soot;
  • Accessories: Scalloped Square die from Spellbinders; 1/2" circle punch; 1/4" circle hand punch; curlicue punch (dollar basket at Michaels); Papertrey Ink Tea cup die; Ribbon;
I think this is going to be fun!

Playing along with Hambo

I have been meaning to play along with the Hambo Hoedown  on the Hambo Stamps Blog for quite some time...And now I finally got around to it!

They are generating some cards for the troops with this week's challenge.

Here is my card:

This card uses a freebie image from the Hambo website and I followed the guidelines from the "Operation Write Home" website.
He is colored with Copic and Shin Han markers.  The papers are from Basic Grey.  The letters are from K and Company.  The embellishments are ones that I have had in my stash for many years and a couple of moves.

Thanks, Hambo for the challenge, and for the push to support "Operation Write Home"
Monica, my card should arrive soon! :D
