Christmas tags
I often like to do something special in the packaging of the gifts, this year my nieces and nephews will have special tags on their gifts…using the DoodleFactory Santa’s Sweet Shoppe stamp set.
The top two are for my nieces and the bottom two are for my nephews. Most of them are getting arts and craft supplies—as I have been dubbed “Artsy Auntie”! LOL!
My eleven year old daughter (who has been bitten BIG TIME by the gift giving bug) will write on the backs and wrap the gifts for me.
Now this Santa has to get back to her workshop!

MUSH!
I was playing around with my kid’s favorite stamp out of the DoodleFactory Arctic stamp set…the huskie!
Isn’t he a cutie!!
The patterned paper really had orange centers to the star-like shape—but a little Liquid Appliqué took care of that! I guess I got a little carried away with the LA, but the texture is so fun!!
Materials:
- Stamps: DoodleFactory Arctic from Starving Artistamps;
- Paper: My Mind’s Eye and Prism;
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black;
- Other items: Liquid Appliqué; Dies from Spellbinders and Sizzix; Copic markers; CuttleBug Embossing Folder;
I hope your holiday preparations are going well! I had better get back to my own!
Thanks for stopping by!!!

And here is the skech:
I used the “Santa’s Sweet Shoppe” stamp set by DoodleFactory from Starving Artistamps.
The patterned paper is from Daisy Bucket.
The snowflake is highlighted with Stickles, although I couldn’t get the sparkle to show much in the photo.
You can participate at 2Sketches4You, too! This is a fun and versatile sketch that Laura has provided.
If you would like to see some more examples…check out my fellow design team members’ cards! (see the list on the left!)

It’s that time of year…
…when the world falls in love…
I love that song (The Christmas Waltz). Well, truth be known, I am a sucker for just about any Christmas song. I am one of those crazy people that do NOT mind when the pull out the Christmas decorations BEFORE Halloween.
At the Swanson abode, we are starting our preparations early this year. I REFUSE to let Christmas “sneak” up on me this year!!! lol
I am starting with this new set from Rubbernecker Stamp Company, Snowflakes and Stardust and it’s companion background stamp, Snowflake Panel.
Stamps:Snowflakes and Stardust and Snowflake Panel;
Paper: Prism;
Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink—Pine Needles, Broken China, and Peeled Paint; VersaMark;
Other Items: Perfect Pearls (pearl); May Arts Ribbon;
This was so fun to make. I think the entire Rubbernecker Design Team is having fun with this set—So you may want to stop by their blogs to see what they have created, as well!!
Dream Big!
I have just a couple more cards from the Final Frontier stamp set to show you. This is such a fun set!
On this first card, I got my pencils back out. The colors came from the three inkpads that were sitting together on my desk (which, ironically, did NOT get used on this card!)
- Stamps: DoodleFactory Final Frontier and Quirky Sentiments—both from Starving Artistamps;
- Paper: SEI(Poppy set) and SU! (black, white, teal, and Sahara Sand)
- Ink: StazOn Jet Black
- Other Items: Judikins Diamond Glaze; stickles; PrismaColor Pencils; Word Window punch; brads;
This next one is a Clean and Simple card (CAS). I have found that most men appreciate a CAS card and a card without flowers. Just sweet and to the point.
- Stamps: DoodleFactory Final Frontier and Urban Sentiment Set #2 –both from Starving Artistamps;
- Paper: Bazzill and SEI;
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
- Other Items: Copic markers and foam tape;
As always—by using the discount code (savetenJS) you can receive 10% off any Starving Artistamps and DoodleFactory stamps.
