Bloom and Grow

The images the A Day for Daisies Design team are showcasing last Friday and this Friday remind me of classic children's stories and nursery rhymes.

The one I have for you today, Grow with Love, reminds me of "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary":

She is colored with Copic markers.
The flowers are punched with a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch and the centers are embellished with flocking.

Our challenge this week is to use dimensional flowers.

I urge you to take some time to view the BEAUTIFUL projects on the blogs of my teammates:

Arielle
Broni

Tanja

I hope you will take a moment to visit my friend, Broni, today. I have had the pleasure of knowing Broni for years.  She is smart, articulate, and kind, PLUS she is an amazing artist.  I love what she can do with a paint brush or a marker!  This is her last Friday with us at A Day for Daisies.  Take moment to peek around her blog... it will be time well spent!

I also invite you to join us at the A Day for Daisies Blog for our new challenge!!  You can use dimensional flowers, too!  I am looking forward to see what you create!

Enjoy your Friday!

Rock On!

This is a wonderful Friday for me, as it is the beginning of a more laid back week for our family!  I hope you find a similar peace in your life this weekend!

I have had the pleasure of using another image of these retro horse toys in the February Club Kit from A Day for Daisies.

This week I used Stick Horse Green:
I even used green in coloring him (lol)!  I loved imaging this guy being rescued from an attic, being shined up and restored by a loving grandparent.  Then this sweet handmade toy was set out for a grandchild visit!

I remember riding on my toy horse to the William Tell Overture with a plastic cowboy hat... such joy!

This week we have a challenge at the A Day for Daisies Blog: Use Wood!

There are more beautiful projects these new images and wood accents on the blogs of my teammates:

Enjoy the Ride!

Happy Friday!
This is the first Friday of the month so A Day for Daisies has a great new release for the Club Kit!  They are beautiful retro "stick horses"!  If you are unfamiliar with the Club Kit, I encourage you to follow the link and check it out!  Not a big commitment, just a really frugal way to purchase A Day for Daisies images.

I have had the pleasure of using Stick Horse Yellow :
I got the inspiration for the color scheme from the ColourQ Challenge:

The image was colored with Copic Markers and the patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye.
The alpha stamps were inked with Tim Holtz Distress inks.
