An Un-Traditional Challenge
The super-talented Shelly (Stamp with Shelly) has issued a challenge on the Rubbernecker Stamp Company Blog: Make a Christmas card using untraditional colors.
Here is what I came up with:
The Snowy Night image was stamped with Pear Tart Memento--the pad is quite juicy so I was able to heat emboss the image with clear embossing powder.
The Hope and Love sentiment was stamped over top with StazOn Jet Black.
I sponged Broken China Tim Holtz Distress Ink on the bottom and Concord Grape Tim Holtz Distress Ink on the top.
The cardstock is from Bazzill. I embellished with jewels and stickles.
I hope you have a chance to play along and then link your project to the Rubbernecker Stamp Company Blog!!

Paper: Real Red and Chocolate Chip (SU!); light and medium sage (Bazzill); White (GP)

RBC #13--Snowflakes and Such
For Rubbernecker Blog Challenge #13, the queen of bad, Sherry, is hosting the challenge.
She has challenged us to make a card in any shape other than the standard 4.25x5.5. It can be a long or tall card, or any other shape you want it to be. Your card must also include snowflakes! I sure hope you can play along, too!!
The stamps, Wreath with Bow and Music Background were stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder. I watercolored the wreath using re-inkers. As you can see, I cut out the image with a Nestabilities die and embossed the background with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
I hope you can join us for this challenge--it is perfect for Christmas cards, tags, or decorations. Don't forget to check out the other design team members for MORE inspiration!!

The image is Nick and Fancy Ho! Ho! Ho! from Rubbernecker Stamp Company.
I stamped it with Palette Noir and colored it with Copics. Most of the shading was done on the back. The star on his beard is colored with a silver gel pen--it is very sparkly in real life!
The Ho! Ho! Ho! is stamped with Fired Brick Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The dots are Liquid Applique. I think it makes the shade have a bit of a chenille feel to it.

Have a great Tuesday!!

Just Buzzzzzzzing Around
Just a quick post today to show you a card:
This was a fun one to do. I used the flight lines from the Bees Sheet to make a flight path around the card. It was fun to do--I did learn one thing, however. NUMBER THE SQUARES. I got them jumbled as I was matting them--and it took me a while to get them back in line.
I bet you are like me--busy as a bee, today. AND that is why this post is short!
Have a great weekend!

Nix the Ribbon!
Today's Rubbernecker Blog Challenge is to use fibers and NOT ribbon! The sweet Bev (Tex) Gerard is hosting the challenge this week.
This is a 2.75" x 4" card. I have made it to go on a gift--Like a tag. I have had this WILD white fiber for YEARS--and now it is going to get used. I am making a flock of these tags. The dp was from Hobby Lobby last year and the colored cardstock is from Bazzill.
The image is Maurice from Rubbernecker Stamp Company. Perhaps for this color scheme he should be Moira. (BTW--He is on sale right now!!)
Check out the rest of the designers' creations too!!
And don't forget:
- WINTER CLEARANCE SALE--All Rubbernecker, Stamp Oasis and KK Original images are on sale until 12/16 or while supplies last. All discounts, free offers and coupons still apply during the sale.

THIRD:
I have a card for you!
I was inspired by the new paper pack I got over the Thanksgiving holiday (for a Christmas gift project). The pack is a Fairy Tale pack by Die Cuts with a view. It is very old world yet glittery. I thought about making a regular arch card--but I couldn't stand to use just one paper!!.
The main image is Nativity Scene from Rubbernecker Stamp Company. I stamped it with VersaMark and then heat embossed it with a glittery gold tinsel embossing powder. Then I watercolored the image with Reinkers.
The stars are Grungeboard Mini's. The diamonds are from the Harlequin Grungeboard Basics. I painted the Grungeboard pieces with a gold paint dabber. they were also highlighted with Diamond Stickles.
Don't forget to leave me a comment (Blogger ID or some other way to get a hold of you) to try for Rubbernecker Bucks!
