Soar...

So I was cleaning up my desk... and that is how this card came to be. *wink*
At least a couple of elements on this card were leftovers from other projects.
Details:

  • Paper: Shipping tag; navy blue and white cardstock; Decorative paper from Graphic 45;
  • Stamps: Floral Flourish#1; Butterflies are Free set; Alphabet Set #2
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Tim Holtz Distress Inks: faded jeans, broken china, tumbled glass, antique linen, frayed burlap, dusty concord;
  • Accessories: white embossing powder; stickles; Martha Stewart lace punch; ribbon;

I figured it all looked better on a card than in the trash bin.
Thanks for taking the time to look!

Sisterhood Sunday #SS19: Dream!

It is July so it means it is time for another Stampin' Sisterhood challenge!  I hope you play along, because it means prizes!  You can't win, if you don't play.   This week we have an inspiration photo...just in time for your summer holiday--or perhaps...your summer holiday DREAM.

Which is where I got the inspiration for my card:

For the letters in the sky I stamped the alphabet Pupcat Alphabet Set #3 with Tim Holtz's Antique Linen, then I dusted the letters with Perfect Pearls.  The moisture from the ink is enough to adhere the pearl powder to the paper.  So at some angles you seen the Antique Linen ink color and at other is is just a pearly illusion.
Other Details:
  • Stamps: Pupcat Alphabet Set #3 SKU: 614; Beach Chair SKU:40-18; both from Rubbernecker.com
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black; Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Antique Linen, Broken China; Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky; Faded Jeans;
  • Paper: white and Kraft cardstock: Recollections from Michaels;  Strathmore Bristol paper;
  • Accessories: Ink blending tool and foam; scalloped circle punch; baker's twine from the Twinery; charm; Canson photo corners; foam tape; Copic and Shin Han markers;
Check out the Stampin' Sisterhood Blog to find out how to play along!
I am looking forward to what you create!

YIKES---SCRAPBOOKING!!

Okay, it has been a while. MIL requested a 2pg layout for each of my children (and one for dh and I). She requested that they be 12 x 12. Even when I scrapbooked I RARELY scrapped in 12 x12. Can we just say I am WAY out of my element!?!!!!

I think this layout took me about 6-8 hours to complete. Mostly because it needs a coordinating second page and I don't have much 12 x 12 stuff for 2 pages!

*sigh*
Sadly there are not many SU! products used in this layout (For the fact I just don't have much scrapbook stuff anymore.)
Below is an enlargement of the impossible to photograph title. (Which is why the above pic is at such an odd angle (no I have NOT been drinking....yet). It is stamped with Regal Rose Craft Ink, Embossed with a glitter embossing powder, and then I wiped "Micro Pearl" Pearl Ex over it and reheated it. Very BLINGY!! The flowers (from Shelly---THANK YOU TO THE QUEEN!) are died with the craft re-inker in water, and also Pearl Ex'd.
I have not counted the plastic jewels on this. It is very *Joy* (the name of my little dd). Joy loves it.
Now on to page 2.....
