It is time for a new Rubbernecker Stamp Company Blog Challenge.
This week is hosted by none other than the queen of collage: Shelly Kuck!! You can get all the details (and see Shelly's cool card by going: HERE.
Now you know you have bling, or shimmer, or glitter--somewhere in your stash....so lets get a holiday card done and play!!
Here is my "play":
(note: the oval is not off kilter--I am just a bad photographer)
I got the technique used on this card from Colleen Schaan, on her Technique Tuesday segment of her blog. She calls it Painting Pearls. It is super easy. On dark paper, stamp with VersaMark (or other watermark/embossing pad), clear emboss, and then paint with water and perfect pearls. You end up with a resist. I think this technique was made for this stamp!!!
Materials used:
- Stamps: Snowy Night and Hope and Love text both by Stamp Oasis from Rubbernecker Stamp Company;
- Paper: white; Kiwi and hunter (SU!); shimmery navy;
- Ink: VersaMark; Broken China Tim Holtz Distress Ink (spritzed on white);
- Accessories: Label Die; corner rounder; Perfect Pearls-Perfect Pearl; jewel; Liquid Pearls-Platinum;
Check out what the rest of the design team has done:
