Blog Challenge Combo-Thanks

Who doesn't love a challenge!?!  Somedays it is the jumpstart that I need to get the creative juices flowing.  Today I have combined two of my favorite challenges.  One I have never posted before, and that is Mercy Kerin's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge.  (I have always meant to get around to it but rarely have and I have NEVER posted).  The other challenge is the Color Throwdown Challenge.
The sketch:
And the colors:
And my card:

  • Stamps: Large Chandelier from the DoodleFactory and Classic Decor Sentiment; all from Starving Artistamps;
  • Ink: Brilliance Graphite; Black and Blush Blossom brush tip marker;
  • Paper: Basic Gray, White, Pumpkin Pie, and Really Rust; Basic Grey DP;
  • Other supplies: black embossing powder; ribbon, foam tape, punches;

I used my good old brush tip watercolor markers on this.  I really can't remember the last time I brought them out.  The chandelier image was stamped with Brilliance ink, embossed, and colored in with a black brush tip marker. There were white areas on the dp that the chandelier is stamped on--I colored most of those in with a Blush Blossom marker (and there is a bit of shading with that marker that didn't show up in the photo).

If you haven't checked out these challenges, before, I hope you do this week!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!!!
